DeWalt drill motors, in particular the 18v model, are very popular among combat robot builders. Unfortunately, reliable performance data on the 18v DeWalt has proven hard to come by, and as a result Mr. Tentacle has not worked up a motor chart for it. The 24v DeWalt Hammer Drill motor has gained in popularity, and a good set of data is available for this motor, thanks to Steve Buescher, builder of Little Drummer Boy.
